Compact Halogen Quartz Tube Heaters: Specs, Design, and Installation
We built these small room heaters around a compact halogen quartz tube because sometimes you need serious heat in a seriously tight spot. They’re all about localized, high-density warmth—fast response, clean infrared output. Perfect when you can’t spare the room for a bulky heater, but you still need to hit a target temperature quickly.
The Specs, Straight Up
Here’s the heart of it: a 300mm tube. That keeps the footprint small, so you can squeeze it in where space is tight without crowding the parts around it. It’s rated at 2500W, which means you get a lot of heat packed into a small space—so it warms up fast. And it runs at 400V, so it can plug straight into industrial power systems without extra fuss. Now, that power comes with a trade-off. You get rapid heat, sure, but your enclosure and cooling setup need to be properly thought through to keep ambient temps and airflow in check.
What It’s Made Of—And Why It Matters
Inside, the halogen-filled quartz envelope helps keep the filament temperature steady. That means less drop-off in output over time, and more consistent performance even when you’re cycling the heater on and off. The quartz body also handles thermal shock well, so rapid temperature swings don’t rattle it. And the R7s connector? It’s a simple, proven two-pin ceramic base. It wires up quickly, holds alignment, and gives you a secure install with minimal mounting hardware. No wrestling. Just a solid, repeatable fit.
Where It Shines—And What to Keep in Mind
In small rooms and compact equipment bays, this setup delivers focused heat right where you need it. The short tube and R7s base make it an easy drop-in replacement for existing fixtures, so install time stays short. The halogen quartz design gives you predictable output and repeatable performance, even with frequent on/off cycles. But here’s the part you can’t skip: that high heat density needs proper ventilation and thermal clearance. Give it breathing room so nearby parts don’t get cooked.
