We figured out a way to fix that.
How we protect your eyes
It’s not magic; it’s just a bit of clever physics. We use a special coating on the quartz glass that acts like a shield. It blocks out those harsh blue and green light frequencies—the stuff that makes you squint—but lets the actual heat waves pass right through. The result? You get all that cozy, radiating warmth without the industrial-strength glare. The light stays soft and subtle, which is exactly what you want when you’re stepping out of a shower.
Heat that feels right
We’ve spent a lot of time balancing the wattage. The goal is to get the heat to your skin quickly, but without needing so much intensity that it hurts to look at the lamp. By focusing on mid-to-long wave infrared, the heat sinks into your skin beautifully, but it doesn’t trigger that “blinding” response your eyes have to those short-wave lamps you’d find in a factory.
The honest trade-off
Now, here is the catch. Whenever you put a filter on a light, you lose a tiny bit of energy. A coated tube isn’t quite as “efficient” as a clear one because some of the heat gets absorbed by the coating. To make sure you don’t feel a drop in temperature, we use elements with a slightly higher wattage. It keeps the room just as warm, but it does mean a small bump in power draw. Just a heads-up: make sure your wiring and breakers can handle that extra bit of current. You don’t want your power tripping in the middle of a freezing January morning.
